Shamim Rajani

Shamim Rajani is a pioneering techpreneur and gender diversity advocate who has been a transformative force in Pakistan’s Information Technology sector for over two decades. As the Chief Operating Officer of Genetech Solutions, she leads a multidisciplinary team providing global IT services in cutting-edge fields including: Software Design and Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Hosting Cybersecurity Backup and Disaster Recovery, Staff Augmentation, Mobile Apps, Brand Identity and Graphic Design. Her leadership was formally recognized in 2023 when her company earned the Gold Award for Gender Diversity at the P@SHA ICT Awards, a testament to her commitment to creating inclusive corporate environments.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Shamim is a dedicated educator and social reformer. In 1998, along with her father, she established ConsulNet Corporation, a tech training institute designed to bridge the digital divide for non-tech women and those from underserved backgrounds. This mission evolved into the launch of CodeGirls in 2018—a specialized coding bootcamp co-founded with Faiza Yousuf. These initiatives focus on financial inclusion and technical mastery, empowering thousands of women to enter the high-growth tech economy.

Shamim’s influence extends into industry governance and international advocacy. She has served as the Vice-Chairperson of P@SHA (Pakistan Software Houses Association) and as a board member for the Pakistan Agile Development Society. Her academic background is equally robust; she is an IBA Karachi alumna, a certified Professional Scrum Master, and a graduate of the Blockchain executive program at Draper University in San Francisco. Through her various advisory roles at WomenInTechPK and international ICT forums, Shamim continues to pave the way for the next generation of Pakistani technologists on the global stage.
